The opening concert for the St Neot Flower and Arts Festival took place in St Neot Parish Church on Thursday evening 24th August. The theme for the festival is 'The Rhythm of Life', and amidst magnificent floral displays and locally produced works of art, we sang a varied repertoire to a packed church, with both our MD Marcus Alleyne and Deputy MD Colin Arthur taking turns at the podium. Though it had been decidedly changeable throughout the day, our return to the bandstand in Padstow found us enjoying the warm sunshine for the second time in less than a month. As a result our singing was enjoyed by a large audience and passers by, with many children seated cross-legged on the road in front of the Choir. Thanks to everyone who responded to this call for assistance, as a result we have Accompanists for all our short term events and practices. We are however still interested in hearing from anyone who can help long term, it would be beneficial to Accompanists and the Choir if we had a number of Musicians who could between them, meet all of our commitments. During Saturday evening 19th November, the howling winds and very heavy rain associated with storm 'Angus' was not exactly the best of weathers to venture out into for a concert, however that was exactly what some brave souls did to support a very worthy cause. Following on from our Gala Concert in Liskeard on Saturday 22nd October, the Choir has just had a very busy week. On Thursday 27th, we had a joint concert with Ardudwy Male Voice Choir from Harlech in North Wales. The concert was held in, and in aid of, Lanivet Church. The Church was full and from all reports, both Choirs enjoyed the concert, as did the audience. On Saturday 29th October Loveny held another joint concert in St Petrocs Church Bodmin, this time with Bodmin Town
