Christmas has officially begun!
Well....we've done our bit to get you in the festive mood, having completed our busiest December for some time, with four Festive Concerts in the last two weeks.
It has been great fun and we have met some lovely people on the way!
Last nights concert in St Neot Church was the finale, when we were joined by our great 'Friends', Samantha Rowe, Maggie Holden, Rosemary Turner, and the Caradon Youth Choir, and compered by our Honorary President, Nick Hart. But on the way we have also had the pleasure of the company of the wonderful Restormel Concert Band, and heard solo performances from our Deputy MD Colin Arthur and our MD Marcus Alleyne, and readings from our resident 'Bard', Roger James. Our lovely Accompanist Mel Farley has performed brilliantly for us at every concert, including accompanying solo performances, and in the case of last night, with a bandaged hand!
We thank Steven Hookway and all the volunteers at St Stephen by Saltash, and all the volunteers at St Brevita's in Lanlivery, St Petroc's in Bodmin, and St Neot Parish Church. We also thank our 'Friends' Samantha, Rosemary, Maggie and Caradon Youth Choir, David Hendry and the Restormel Concert Band, and our own brilliant musical team, Marcus, Mel and Colin, and not forgetting our MC's John Ead and Nick Hart.
We finally give thanks to all those who supported the various events, and helped raise funds for the various charities. Without you....well it just would not be worthwhile....with you...our spirits are raised!
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a happy healthy and prosperous New Year.
We look forward to coming back in the New Year, to begin building our repertoire for 2020.
A 'not to be missed' event next year will be our visit in October to the Birmingham Symphony Hall....start planning now!
