On two occasions, Colin has taken on the role of MD, when urgency required it of him, balancing the demands of the Choir with his busy life as a working Farmer. The most recent of these was from March 2016 right up until August 2017, during which time we had two successful and very memorable Tours to Brittany and The Cotswolds.

Colin Arthur

Colin, a fourth generation Bodmin Moor sheep farmer, is our only Founder Member, and has sung continuously with the Choir since its inception in 1971. Though he would not thank us for saying it, we regard him with great affection as our 'Mr Loveny', for without him our great Choir would not be here today!

In addition to being our Deputy MD, Colin is also Honorary Vice President of Loveny MVC, but most importantly is our Principal Tenor, and regularly performs solo parts for us. He is well known throughout the County as a solo artist and also sings with another local choir based in Merrymeet near Liskeard, Levowan XII.
